Can Xanet: a living ecosystem

At Can Xanet we grow grapes following sustainable practices that pamper the soil, biodiversity and natural balance.

The plant cover protects the soil from erosion, the auxiliary fauna becomes a natural ally against pests and water is used responsibly.

The result is 4 varieties adapted to the Can Xanet ecosystem, 2 native – MN and Gorg – and 2 foreign – Merlot and Syrah – healthy, full of life and expression.

Grapes that reflect the unique character of the terroir of Mallorca, with its calcareous soils, the influence of the Mediterranean Sea and the protection of the Tramuntana.

An exceptional terroir

The Can Xanet estate is located in a privileged enclave in the north of Mallorca, in the foothills of the majestic Tramuntana.

The summer breezes of the area cool the vines, avoiding excessive temperatures.

The influence of the Mediterranean regulates the humidity of the environment, favoring a warm and dry climate ideal for the ripening of the grapes, while providing an intense luminosity that enhances the aromatic expression of the varieties.

The calcareous soils are rich in minerals that are transmitted to the grapes, providing complexity and structure to the wines.

A unique microclimate and soils give rise to an exceptional terroir that imprints a unique character and quality to the grapes.

Can Xanet practices sustainable viticulture that seeks a balance between production and the preservation of the ecosystem. Techniques such as mulching, green pruning and natural pest control are used to minimize environmental impact.
